The Milano Leonardo campus is the oldest of Politecnico di Milano\u2019s campuses. It was inaugurated in 1927 in the buildings which are located in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci. The cost of the ticket is \u20ac5.00.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>From&nbsp;<strong>Stazione Centrale<\/strong>&nbsp;(Railway Central Station) or&nbsp;<strong>Stazione Cadorna<\/strong>&nbsp;you can take the&nbsp;<strong>underground green line<\/strong>&nbsp;to the Piola station and then make a 5 minutes walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tourist information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a population of about 1.3 million,&nbsp;<strong>Milan<\/strong>, the capital of Lombardy, is located in the Po Valley, not far from the Alps with the great lakes (Lake Como, Lake Maggiore, Lake Lugano) to the North. Milan is considered the&nbsp;<strong>Italian economic and finance center<\/strong>, with the headquarters of the&nbsp;<strong>Stock Exchange<\/strong>&nbsp;and of many of the most important industrial and financial businesses of the Country. It is also the Italian symbol of&nbsp;<strong>fashion and design<\/strong>: it hosts many of the main Italian fashion maisons and international<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>design fairs, such as \u201cSettimana della Moda\u201d (Milan Fashion Week) and the \u201cSalone Internazionale del Mobile\u201d (Milan Furniture Fair).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milan hosts the \u201c<strong>Teatro alla Scala<\/strong>\u201d, considered the temple of lyrics all over the world, and several prose theatres such as the \u201cPiccolo Teatro\u201d founded by Giorgio Strehler. In Milan are located the headquarters of the main daily newspapers (Il Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore) and many of the main Italian publishers (Mondadori, Feltrinelli, Garzanti, Rizzoli). The city offers to visitors the possibility to admire a wide range of monuments, museums and buildings reflecting the vestiges of history and culture left by many people who lived here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milan hosted the non-commercial Universal Exposition in 2015.&nbsp;<strong>Expo2015<\/strong>, whose theme was \u201cFeeding the Planet, Energy for Life\u201d, featured more than 150 countries with about 20 million visitors and 5000 events. Not only an exhibition, but also a process of active participation among a large number of players around technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity and how they relate to food and diet.
