Politecnico di Milano<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Founded in 1863, Polimi is the largest school of Architecture, Design and Engineering in Italy, with 3 main campuses located in Milan, and 5 campuses based around the Lombardy region, one of the most industrialized areas of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Strategic research is carried out mainly in the fields of computer science, energy, transport, design, mathematics, natural and applied sciences, cultural heritage<\/strong>, with more than 250 laboratories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How to reach us<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The IFIP Peformance 2020 conference will be hosted by the Dipartimento di Elettronica Informazione e Bioingegneria<\/a> and will take place at Politecnico di Milano \u2013 Leonardo Campus<\/strong>. The Milano Leonardo campus is the oldest of Politecnico di Milano\u2019s campuses. It was inaugurated in 1927 in the buildings which are located in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci. Over the course of the decades, the campus has been expanded to encompass new buildings and given rise to a real and genuine university quarter commonly dubbed \u201cCitt\u00e0 Studi\u201d (City of Studies). Milan is considered the Italian economic and finance center<\/strong>, with the headquarters of the Stock Exchange<\/strong> and of many of the most important industrial and financial businesses of the Country. In Milan are located the headquarters of the main daily newspapers (Il Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore) and many of the main Italian publishers (Mondadori, Feltrinelli, Garzanti, Rizzoli). The city offers to visitors the possibility to admire a wide range of monuments, museums and buildings reflecting the vestiges of history and culture left by many people who lived here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Milan hosted the non-commercial Universal Exposition in 2015. Expo2015<\/strong>, whose theme was \u201cFeeding the Planet, Energy for Life\u201d, featured more than 150 countries with about 20 million visitors and 5000 events. Not only an exhibition, but also a process of active participation among a large number of players around technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity and how they relate to food and diet.
